We are thrilled to announce that Kristian Helland has rejoined the Cranemaster team as Business Development Manager! With an impressive background in Chemical Engineering and extensive experience across various roles in research, product development, and business development, Kristian’s return is a significant boost to our team.
Kristian holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. His career has spanned some of the industry’s most respected organizations, including Sintef, Borealis, REC Wafer, Seram Coatings, and previously, Cranemaster. Throughout his career, he has excelled in roles ranging from research and development to business strategy, making him a versatile and valuable team member.
After spending a decade with Cranemaster, Kristian explored new opportunities in 2023. However, his passion for the unique challenges of offshore lifting operations led him back to our team. “I missed the challenges of offshore lifting operations and decided to return to Cranemaster,” Kristian shares. “We are excited to have him back, and we look forward to the fresh insights and expertise he will bring,” says CEO Espen B. Johansen.
Kristian’s return has been smooth and positive. “My first week back has been very encouraging, as I’ve re-engaged with operations and reconnected with colleagues in the industry,” he says. His transition back into Cranemaster has been seamless, reflecting his deep industry experience and strong professional relationships.
Kristian is eager to dive into discussions on how Cranemaster can continue to push the boundaries of offshore lifting operations. He is particularly focused on tackling technically challenging, high-risk, or even seemingly impossible projects. Kristian is also enthusiastic about collaborating with our dedicated team, where a commitment to safety and a proactive mindset are central to everything we do.
Outside of work, Kristian enjoys staying active with outdoor activities such as trekking, cycling, and skiing. He is also a passionate musician, playing in a local amateur symphonic band. These interests provide a perfect balance to his professional life, helping him stay energized and creative.
