Working at Cranemaster

A Great Place to Workยฎ โ€“ Officially! ๐ŸŽ‰

Weโ€™ve always known Cranemaster is a great place to work โ€” and now itโ€™s official. Our certification as a Great Place to Workยฎ comes straight from what our own team had to say about life here.

For us, itโ€™s never just about the technology (even though that part is pretty amazing). Itโ€™s about the people who make it happen - the engineers, technicians, project managers, and lunch-break problem solvers who keep things running smoothly and deliver from Stathelle to offshore operations around the world.ย

We work closely together, challenge each other, and laugh a lot in between. Trust and teamwork are the real anchors here โ€” and thatโ€™s something you can feel the moment you walk through the door.ย

If youโ€™re someone who takes pride in your work and enjoys being part of a tight, supportive crew, youโ€™ll fit right in here.ย

Come join one of Norwayโ€™s Great Places to Workยฎ.ย ย

We're Looking for a New Service Engineer

Are you the type who enjoys having a wrench in your hand and a passport in your pocket? At Cranemaster, you get a unique combination of workshop work and travel assignments around the world โ€” with high-tech equipment, an international environment, and solid training. We are now reinforcing our team with another Service Engineer โ€” and perhaps youโ€™re exactly who weโ€™re looking for.

As a Service Engineer at Cranemaster, you will work with service, maintenance, and mobilization of advanced lifting and damping equipment used in offshore oil/gas and offshore wind. You will be based at the workshop in Stathelle, but must be prepared to travel for assignments as needed.

Typical travel assignments vary from a few days to a couple of weeks, and you should expect 50โ€“70 travel days per year where you go on site with installation companies in offshore operations.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Mechanical servicing and maintenance of lifting equipment

  • Preparation / mobilization before dispatch and handling equipment upon return

  • Follow-up of equipment at customer sites, onshore or offshore

  • Monitoring and use of control systems

  • Training of crews who are going to use our equipment

What weโ€™re looking for

You have good mechanical understanding and enjoy hands-on work. Having a trade certificate is not a requirement, but experience in mechanics and preferably automation / electronics is a plus. You are precise, adaptable, and able to keep a cool head โ€” even when things donโ€™t go as planned.

Qualifications we desire:

  • Experience from mechanical work โ€” industry, workshop, assembly, etc.

  • Basic IT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft platform

  • Good English skills, both written and spoken

  • Must be able to pass an offshore health certificate

  • Because there will be international travel, it is important that you have no background that could make obtaining visas or entry permissions difficult

Personal qualities:

  • Communicative, social and solution-oriented

  • Structured and quality-conscious

  • Strong HSE (health, safety, environment) awareness and high focus on safety

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

What you get

At Cranemaster you become part of a dedicated and tight-knit team of 19 employees in an international work environment. We provide training and necessary courses (e.g. Opito and GWO), and an arrangement combining professional challenges with room for growth and travel.

Cranemaster is โ€œGreat Place to Workโ€ certified.

We offer among other things:

  • Competitive fixed salary

  • Bonus scheme

  • Good offshore and travel allowances

  • Mobile phone and laptop

  • Solid insurance arrangements
